In November, four members of the terrorist community were detained while serving sentences in a colony in Kalmykia.

At the end of July, the UK announced the arrest of five members of the terrorist community created on the territory of the colony in Kalmykia.

In the case, 40 persons were involved as suspects and accused, including the head of the colony, Pavel Bataev, and his former deputy, Artur Tsamaev.

According to the UK, no later than 2013, a native of Dagestan Shakhban Hasanov, who was serving a sentence for illegal arms trafficking, created a terrorist community on the territory of the colony in order to propagandize, justify and support terrorism.
