Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Due to the extension of the current lockdown to contain the corona pandemic, the Chamber of Crafts in Magdeburg fears for the survival of many companies.

Hoped-for openings are a long way off and a “widespread company collapse” is becoming more and more likely, said managing director Burghard Grupe on Tuesday, according to the announcement.

"Many companies will no longer be able to survive due to the lack of perspective and the stagnating or inadequate bridging aids."

After the negotiations between the federal and state governments on Monday, the state government wants to discuss the further corona rules for Saxony-Anhalt on Tuesday.

The federal and state governments had previously fought for a common line on the corona rules until late at night and agreed, among other things, to extend the lockdown.
