Munich (dpa / lby) - In Bavaria, further opening steps are to be tried in three to four model regions with a seven-day incidence of more than 100 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants after Easter.

Under strict protective measures and with a test concept, individual areas of public life could open for a period of 14 days, the Bavarian cabinet decided on Tuesday in Munich.

The aim is to investigate the feasibility of opening steps.

When presenting the decision, Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) did not say which regions these will be.
