A monument to those who died from coronavirus is planned to be erected in St. Petersburg

The idea to erect such a monument came from an interdepartmental medical working group under the city's coordinating council to counter the spread of coronavirus infection.

Smolny instructed the chairman of the Committee on Social Policy, Alexander Rzhanenkov, to implement this initiative.

Earlier it was reported that a place was found in Chelyabinsk to erect a monument to doctors who died while performing their professional duty during a pandemic.
