Überherrn (dpa / lrs) - A near collision between two cars on a country road in Überherrn in the Saarlouis district only just went off lightly.
Three people were slightly injured, although both cars were totaled, the police said on Monday.
A 61-year-old lost control of his car due to a medical emergency on Monday on the L350 between the districts of Felsberg and Altforweiler and got into oncoming traffic.
An oncoming 62-year-old was able to dodge by a hair's breadth, but her car overturned on the grass verge and came to rest on the roof.
According to the police, she and her 62-year-old passenger were slightly injured and had to go to hospital overnight for observation, and the 61-year-old was discharged after treatment.
Around 30 fire fighters, several ambulances and emergency doctors as well as a rescue helicopter were in action.
