At Brotorpsskolan, class three was allowed to return to school today, after a week of homeschooling.

- At first I thought it was great fun, but then it derailed.

It was a lot of work, says Sami Fagerström who is in third grade at Brotorpsskolan.

Lisen Hamrén, teacher at Brotorpsskolan, believes that it is a challenge to teach through homeschooling.

- It will be difficult for the children to work independently at home.

And it is also difficult to work digitally at home with children aged 9-10, she says.

More children being tested

That more children and young people are infected with covid-19 is due to more children being tested than before, and that fewer children have antibodies when compared with adults, according to the Swedish Public Health Agency.

Something that contributes to the increased spread of infection among younger people, says state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell.

- If you get a spread in a group where there are fewer who have had the disease before, then you also get a larger spread, he says.
