Erfurt (dpa / th) - Thuringia's Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left) is taking part in the deliberations of the federal and state governments on how to proceed in the corona pandemic this Monday.

The 65-year-old had expressed cautiousness in advance on the subject of easing the lockdown and emphasized that opening steps without an associated test strategy and digital contact tracking are out of the question for him.

In view of the increasing number of infections and high incidence values, stricter corona measures could be discussed again on Monday.

SPD health expert Karl Lauterbach, for example, had called for the recent easing in several federal states to be withdrawn and in a "world" interview spoke out in favor of a tougher lockdown by mid-April.

So far it is also unclear what the federal and state governments will agree to with a view to the upcoming Easter holidays - a classic vacation and travel time.

The heads of government of some federal states had indicated that they wanted to make certain tourist overnight stays possible at least for people in their own country.

For some time now, Thuringia has had the highest values for new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week (seven-day incidence).

Because the incidence here has long been over 100, certain loosening and openings that are now in other federal states were not even realized.
