Former US President Donald Trump accused incumbent American leader Joe Biden of creating a crisis on the country's border.

This is stated in his statement, which was published on his page by former White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

“We are proud to hand over to the Biden administration the most secure frontier in history.

All they needed to do was keep this fine-tuned system running on autopilot.

Instead, within just a couple of weeks, the Biden administration turned a national triumph into a national catastrophe, ”Trump said in a statement.

The ex-head of the White House also believes that the new authorities "are trying to carefully hide how bad things really are."

According to him, this can be seen "with the naked eye."

“The only way to end the Biden crisis at the border is to admit our complete failure and take advantage of Trump's extremely effective and proven measures,” the 45th US President believes.

The former American leader also called for "immediate completion of the wall" on the border with Mexico.

In his opinion, this can be done "in a matter of weeks."

“They didn't have to stop building it at all.

Because of them, people suffer and die.

In addition to the obvious consequences, drugs have poured into the country across the southern border on an unprecedented scale, not to mention (the scale -

) smuggling and sexual exploitation of people.

The ill-considered measures of the current administration create conditions for (committing -

) crimes against humanity and spur them on.

Our country is being destroyed! "

- Trump emphasized.

The day before, Biden commented on the situation with the influx of migrants on the US-Mexican border.

He told reporters that the current administration is doing everything necessary to establish "preexisting mechanisms that allowed people to stay put and present their arguments from their home country."

At the same time, Biden noted that "at some point" he will visit the border.

Migration issue

Meanwhile, Biden administration officials continue to grapple with an influx of migrants, especially minors, along the southern border.

According to official data studied by the CBS News channel, as of March 20, the US authorities are placing more than 15 thousand unaccompanied underage migrants at their facilities.

It also clarifies that this number includes 5 thousand adolescents and children "abandoned at the facilities of the US Border Guard Service, not intended for long-term maintenance of people."

According to the Republicans, the erroneous steps of the new Biden administration led to this situation.

In particular, Rep. Michael McCall criticized the incumbent's migration policy in an interview with ABC News.

He also predicted that the US migration crisis caused by the new administration would worsen.

Republican Party member Ted Cruz also opposes Biden’s measures in the field of migration.

According to him, Biden actually invited underage illegal migrants to the country.

Republican Senator Lindsay Graham, in turn, called Biden's immigration plan unsuccessful, stressing that the acute problem at the border must be resolved.

According to the former head of the US Border Guard Service, Mark Morgan, in just a month, the US authorities detained about 100 thousand illegal migrants, which speaks of a new crisis on the border of the United States with Mexico.

However, the Biden administration is trying with all its might to hush up the situation and shift the blame for its mistakes onto the previous White House team, Morgan writes in his article for The Hill.

“They (the new American authorities. -

) brushed aside the advice of experts and rushed to dismantle the entire system - and all in the name of politics.

Now that the country has witnessed this crisis and realized that the Biden administration was not ready for it, they are struggling to find a scapegoat, ”says Morgan.

Recall that on the first day of his tenure as President of the United States, Joe Biden signed decrees concerning the immigration policy of the United States.

So, one of the documents canceled the ban on the entry into the country of citizens of a number of states with a predominantly Muslim population, introduced earlier by Donald Trump.

At the end of January 2017, the 45th head of the White House signed a decree "On protecting the country from the entry of foreign terrorists", which prohibited the entry into the United States of citizens of Syria, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Yemen, Libya and Somalia.

Later, Iraq and Sudan were excluded from the blacklist, but North Korea and Chad were added.

In addition, Biden decided to lift the state of emergency due to the situation on the border of the United States and Mexico, and also stopped federal funding for the construction of a wall on the state border.

In February of last year, Trump prolonged the state of emergency in this territory for 12 months in order to prevent attempts by illegal migrants to enter the United States.

Biden also signed the decrees introducing an eight-year citizenship period for illegal migrants and strengthening the Migrant Child Protection Program (DACA).

As noted earlier in the White House, "immediate action to reform" the American immigration system is one of the priorities of the new administration.

Trying to "close your eyes"

As the American political scientist Malek Dudakov noted in an interview with RT, with his actions and statements, Biden "created an absolutely man-made border crisis."

“It could have been completely avoided.

Because of Biden's measures, illegal immigrants began to storm the US borders, which ultimately led to overcrowding of migration centers, ”the expert said.

According to Dudakov, Biden found himself in a difficult position.

“On the one hand, he cannot take tough measures, as this will cause protest from the liberal circles on which he depends.

On the other hand, Biden needs to somehow react to the situation that has arisen, since this is not only a border crisis, but also a humanitarian one.

A huge number of people are in centers where there is complete unsanitary conditions.

The situation is further complicated by the coronavirus pandemic, ”the analyst said.

According to Dudakov, Trump's criticism of Biden and his team is "quite reasonable and logical."

“The current head of the White House is trying to solve the problem by half measures, hoping that everything will resolve itself.

Earlier, Trump was accused of building almost concentration camps for migrant children.

However, now the situation is much worse than under the 45th US President.

He did not have such a number of minors at the state border, this is an absolute record, ”the expert noted.

Konstantin Blokhin, a researcher at the Center for Security Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said, in turn, that Biden's attempt "to turn a blind eye to the acute problem associated with the influx of migrants only aggravates the situation."

“However, the incumbent head of the White House relies on the colored electorate, which traditionally supports the Democrats, so he benefits from an increase in the number of migrants in the United States.

So he and the Democratic Party hope to reduce the chances of Republicans in the next presidential election, "he said in an interview with RT.

Dudakov, for his part, predicts that the migration crisis in the United States under Biden will only get worse.

“This can go on for many months.

Such an influx could have been stopped by harsh measures, but the current President of the United States will not agree to this, ”he said.

Blokhin adheres to a similar position.

According to him, Biden will not heed Trump's calls and will continue on his course.

“The reluctance of the new US administration to continue the migration policy of the previous authorities will lead to extremely negative consequences for the country.

The migration problem poses a direct threat to the national security of the United States.

If this trend towards an increase in the number of migrants from Mexico continues further, in the long term, this may entail a split off of the southern states on the border with Mexico, ”the expert concluded.
