The president of the Community of Madrid and PP candidate for re-election, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, announced today that she has proposed to the mayor of Madrid and PP spokesperson, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, to close the list with which he will participate in the upcoming regional elections on May 4.
"I have asked the mayor to close my electoral list. It would be an honor for him to do so," said Díaz Ayuso during a visit to the Salamanca district, in the capital, where he has gone together with the mayor to
collect complaints, suggestions and proposals for its electoral program and government action.
Martínez Almeida, for his part, has indicated that it is an "honor" for him to close the list headed by Díaz Ayuso and that he cannot have a better "partner", neither he nor the people of Madrid.
"We are going to turn to support her," he assured
, to underline the Government that has led these two years despite "all the unjust attacks" and that has served to make Madrid the "oasis that it is right now."
