22 March 2021 Closing in no particular order for European stock exchanges: investors are slowed down by the new patchy lockdowns in the Old Continent.

Milan closed up 0.26% in line with London (+ 0.26%) and Frankfurt (+ 0.25%); Paris loses half a point, but the heaviest is Madrid, which loses almost two points.

The collapse of the Turkish lira and the crash of the Istanbul stock exchange (-9.6%), after the decision by President Erdogan to surprisingly replace the governor of the Turkish central bank, had no effect on European markets.

Overseas Wall Street is progressing positively, but at two speeds. The Dow Jones cautious at + 0.18%, while the Nasdaq returns to run at + 1.66%.
