Guest of Europe Evening, Bruno Lina, member of the Scientific Council said he was in "incomprehension" in front of the 6,500 people who paraded on Sunday in the streets of Marseille, mostly without a mask.

An unauthorized gathering on the occasion of the Carnival of the Plain, which is the very example of meetings which "will maintain the epidemic", according to the virologist.

This is the feeling that Bruno Lina, member of the Scientific Council, had when he saw the images of the wild carnival held in Marseille.

Sunday, some 6,500 people celebrated the Carnival of the Plain in the Marseille city, parading mostly without a mask, according to the prefecture.

"Everyone wants to get out of this pandemic, this crisis. We see how much this weighs [on people's morale], but here we have the impression that we are giving the stick to get beaten."
