This was stated by a representative of the US State Department.

"The parties discussed the climate crisis, but did not form an official working group," TASS quoted him as saying.

Washington believes that the problem of climate change cannot be successfully solved without action from China, since China "accounts for almost 30% of global emissions."

The State Department also said that it will continue to involve China and other key countries in solving the problem of climate change.

Earlier it was reported that the United States and China at a meeting in Alaska agreed to avoid conflicts.
