Hamburg (dpa / lno) - In parallel to the stricter corona rules in Hamburg, the seven-day incidence in the Hanseatic city has fallen slightly with 170 new corona infections registered on Sunday.

It fell by 1.3 to 114.0, as the health authority announced.

The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week has now been above the important threshold of 100 for five days. Even according to the generally somewhat lower figures from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), Hamburg has now clearly exceeded this value at 108.

Because the incidence, according to Hamburg data, has already exceeded the 100 threshold on three consecutive days since the middle of last week (100.9; 105.4; 108.6), stricter corona rules have applied in Hamburg again since Saturday.

The number of new infections detected fell on Sunday by 166 compared to the previous day and by 24 cases compared to the Sunday a week ago.

According to the RKI, the number of corona deaths in Hamburg increased by five to 1,348.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 57 172 Hamburgers have been shown to have been infected with Sars-CoV-2;

51,000 of them are now considered to have recovered.
