“We need to reduce sanctions risks by strengthening our technological independence, by switching to settlements in national currencies and in world currencies alternative to the dollar,” Lavrov said.
He stressed that it is also necessary to move away from the use of Western-controlled international payment systems.
“Life forces us to build our line in economic and social development in such a way as not to depend on those“ quirks ”demonstrated by our Western partners,” the minister added.
According to him, they are aimed at maintaining their dominance by curbing the development of other countries.
Earlier, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that Russia is gradually moving away from dependence on the dollar, increasing the transition to national currencies in bilateral trade and economic relations with many countries.
