Heidesheim am Rhein (dpa / lrs) - A horse freed itself from a trailer while driving on Autobahn 643.
It then ran around on the road about 300 meters from the Gonsenheim junction on Sunday afternoon.
While trying to catch the animal, three people were slightly injured, including a policewoman, the police said on Sunday.
A vet eventually gave him a sedative, then it was brought to its destination in a replacement trailer.
The entire mission lasted about two hours.
