Löcknitz (dpa / mv) - With more than three per thousand breath alcohol and flat tires, a car driver in Western Pomerania raced away from the police.

The 47-year-old was stopped by a patrol car after several kilometers not far from Löcknitz (Vorpommern-Greifswald), as a police spokesman said on Sunday.

The man was noticed in the morning in Löcknitz by his serpentine driving style and should be stopped with nail belts, but failed.

However, the rear tires of his car were stabbed by the nail belt.

As a result of the escape, several oncoming vehicles were pushed away.

A driver could only avoid a collision by swerving.

After the arrest, it was found that the 47-year-old had about 3.17 per thousand alcohol in his breath and no driver's license and was probably under the influence of drugs.

A forbidden brass knuckles were also found in the car of the man from the district.

The car had to be towed.

The man is now being investigated for a number of offenses, including resistance to law enforcement officers.
