Wuppertal (dpa / lnw) - The city of Wuppertal is allowed to return to distance learning at all secondary schools.

The Ministry of Social Affairs and the city announced this on Saturday evening.

The ministry said that alternating classes will be suspended in secondary schools from Tuesday, with the exception of the final classes.

In terms of operations in the primary schools, nothing has changed compared to the previous week.

It remains there with the previous interchangeable model.

Secondary schools may return to distance learning from Monday if they have already made the appropriate preparations.

The incidence in Wuppertal is above the national average, according to the ministry.

This justifies a city-specific exception to the state-wide fundamental decisions on alternate teaching in schools.

On Friday, the value in Wuppertal was around 143 infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days.
