Schwerin (dpa / mv) - Owners of holiday apartments and houses want to overturn the corona-related ban on accommodation in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in court.
A total of 20 landlords had applied to the Greifswald Higher Administrative Court for a temporary injunction to stop both the ban on accommodation and the entry ban for tourist guests, the Berlin lawyer Katja Kleist said on Saturday.
A compensation suit against the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is also planned.
"While trips to Mallorca are being promoted, the landlords go to the dogs in this country," complained the landlord of the Sassnitz coach house, Oliver Roeber.
The weekly value for new corona infections in the Vorpommern-Rügen district has been permanently below 50 since February. Regional differences are also made when traveling to Portugal, which must also be possible in Germany and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Kleist emphasized: "A pure opening for guests from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is not a solution here."
The landlords need holiday guests from all over Germany.
The Association of Business Associations for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania was also critical.
Its managing director Sven Müller said that the state government should think of more than just waiting for the next round of talks between the prime ministers and Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) this Monday.
"Nobody can really convey that 777 football fans are allowed into the stadium, but a family of three cannot go to a restaurant, hotel or theater."
