The Syrian Oil Minister denounced the United States: They are targeting our oil like pirates!

[Global Network Reporter Bian Zihao] According to a Russian satellite network report, Syrian Oil Minister Bassam Tuma revealed in an interview with local media on the 18th that 90% of Syria's oil resources are now in the hands of the United States and its allies.

In the interview, he denounced the actions of the United States and compared it to "pirates."

"The United States and their allies are targeting our oil wealth and tankers like pirates," Tuuma said in an interview. "What happened during the war in Syria has not happened in any other country. Here is (the United States and (Its allies) prevent us from developing our wealth while preventing basic goods from being shipped to our country."

According to Tuma's estimates, the direct and indirect losses suffered by the Syrian oil industry amounted to US$92 billion.

He emphasized that Syria's oil industry was deliberately targeted by the enemy because it is the country's main source of economic income.

According to the Russian Satellite Network, Syria produced 400,000 barrels of oil a day before the war, bringing in revenue of $73 million per month.

But since 2011, the country’s oil resources have been destroyed or looted by ISIS first, and then by the United States and its Kurdish allies.

The Syrian News Agency reported in September last year that 30 American tankers loaded with Syrian oil had crossed the border from Syria to Iraq.

The Syrian News Agency stated that the oil was stolen by the United States and crossed the border to Iraq through illegal channels.

According to reports, the United States has repeatedly stolen oil from Syria since its illegal occupation of Syrian oil fields.
