Inssa Mohamed says Bobocha is accused in particular of attempted assassination on President Azali Assoumani on April 21, 2020. After an escape from Moroni prison last November, he went to Madagascar where he found asylum.

However, the prisoner was extradited from Madagascar to the Comoros on January 27, 2021 and no one has seen him since.

The United Nations seized the Comorian authorities about him.

Two months since the arrival of Inssa Mohamed dit Bobocha, United Nations experts, particularly in torture and extrajudicial executions, are now asking for proof of the prisoner's life, as is his lawyer, Me Gérard Youssouf.

Bobocha is locked up in an annex prison, a military prison.

Although it is an annex, it is above all a military barracks.

Under what right has my client been illegally, arbitrarily detained?

Not only do I not have access to my client.

I have no proof of my client's life.

I do not know under what conditions he is being held or what treatment he receives during this time.

"

The lawyer is seriously considering filing a complaint against the Comorian and Madagascan states following Bobocha's illegal extradition.

The new Comorian legislation considers arbitrary detention to be a war crime, just like torture.

Today my client was kidnapped from Madagascar to the Comoros, I am going to file a complaint against the Comorian state and the Malagasy state as being an accomplice in a war crime.

I will therefore seize the Moroni prosecutor's office and I will communicate this complaint to the International Criminal Court.

"

Me Gérard Youssouf still does not know by what authority Bobocha was placed under arrest warrant.

🇰🇲 #Comoros: UN experts call on the Government to immediately reveal the fate and whereabouts of a detainee unlawfully extradited from #Madagascar - Mr. Inssa Mohamed, better known as Bobocha - and demonstrate full commitment to international law.
