On March 18, local time, Brazilian President Bolsonaro signed a temporary decree aimed at issuing emergency relief funds for a new round of the epidemic in 2021.

According to regulations, this round of emergency relief funds will begin to be issued in April this year, and the recipients are informal employees and participants in the country’s "family subsidy" program for poor residents.

It is reported that this round of emergency relief funds will be issued in 4 months, that is, from April to July this year, the amount of relief will be adjusted according to the different circumstances of each family.

In general, the average amount of assistance received per person per month is between 150 reals and 375 reals (approximately 178 yuan to 445 yuan); in terms of the number of grants, there will be 45.6 million residents across Brazil Accepting this round of rescues reduced 22.6 million people from the 68.2 million people in the middle of last year.

In addition, compared with the aid standard of 600 reals (approximately RMB 711) per person per month in the middle of last year, the amount distributed this time has also dropped significantly.

The regulations also point out that only residents who received emergency relief payments last year are allowed to receive the relief payments this time.

The Brazilian government launched an emergency relief plan in April last year to provide financial assistance to the unemployed and freelancers during the epidemic.

In consideration of the uncertain factors in the development of the epidemic, the Ministry of Economy of the country temporarily cancelled this rescue plan at the end of last year.
