“According to incoming information, on the morning of March 19, the Yemeni Houthis carried out with the help of drones another missile strike on the territory of Saudi Arabia, which in the protracted inter-Yemeni armed conflict is supporting the government forces of the Republic of Yemen,” the Foreign Ministry said.
The ministry noted that the target of the attack was an oil refinery near Riyadh.
“Moscow strongly condemns the above-mentioned forceful action,” the message says.
The Foreign Ministry called on the parties to the conflict in Yemen to strictly abide by the provisions of international humanitarian law and to completely abandon military operations.
Earlier it was reported that the plant of the Saudi state company Saudi Aramco in Riyadh was attacked by drones.
