In the video, Johan Uhlin and coach Henrik Flognman tell more about the thoughts before the qualifier and what it would mean with an advancement to SSL.

Karlstad IBF's women's team has been resident in SSL (former elite series) for 22 straight seasons.

The men's team, on the other hand, went out during the debut season as Karlstad IBF, 2001-2002, and has since been up in the highest league in the season 2012-2013 and the seasons 2015-2017.

Now it may be time for advancement again.

"Put on its end"

Karlstad IBF finished second in the southern Allsvenskan and now meets Lindås in the initial qualifying stage for SSL, which is played in the best of three matches.

The first match is played on Saturday.

- There is a lot that is put on its head in a qualifier but I clearly believe that we have a chance and it is important to take it when we get it, says Johan Uhlin.

Two places at stake

If Karlstad wins the match series against Lindås, a second and decisive qualifier against a team from the northern Allsvenskan awaits, even that match series is played in the best of three matches.

In total, there are two places in SSL at stake.
