Munich (dpa) - FC Bayern Munich is now leaving goal scorer Robert Lewandowski for Poland's World Cup qualifier in England.
David Alaba is also allowed to travel to Scotland with the Austrian selection.
"We gave both of them the go," confirmed coach Hansi Flick on Saturday after the German record champions beat VfB Stuttgart 4-0 in the Bundesliga.
Great Britain had so far been classified by the German authorities as a virus variant area, which would most likely have forced the Bundesliga professionals to quarantine after re-entering Germany.
From Sunday on, Great Britain will only be listed as a risk area, which will partially lift the travel restrictions.
FC Bayern did not want to run the risk of having to do without the two top performers in the Bundesliga top game against RB Leipzig on April 3 after the international break.
