March 20, 2021 "In a few days, a first agreement will be signed with the Spallanzani Institute for a scientific experimentation with the Sputnik vaccine, obviously awaiting the formal authorization of the EMA regarding the study on variants".
This was announced by the president of the Lazio Region, Nicola Zingaretti, on a visit to the vaccination hub at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome.
"This is another piece of good news that allows us to take a leap ahead of the need for vaccine procurement," he added.
"The most important fact in our area is to have practically secured about 80% of the over 80s. This means that the choice made to secure works works especially for those who risked their lives: our elderly. We will soon be able to say that all those over 80 who had booked in Lazio will be vaccinated ".
So Zingaretti.
"The positive news is that fortunately we are registering a very large adhesion to vaccination also for AstraZeneca. It is positive news also supported by a great organizational effort that has allowed us to recontact all the 14 thousand who had skipped the vaccine blocked by the EMA", said the president of the Region.
"The vaccination campaign has restarted 100% in a very positive way," he added.
