Bielefeld (AP) - Arminia Bielefeld's soccer coach Frank Kramer wants to work with his team to prevent goals conceded directly after the half-time break.

"We have to take a closer look at that," said the coach after the 0-1 defeat in the Bundesliga home game against table runner-up RB Leipzig.

Marcel Sabitzer had scored for the Saxons in the 46th minute.

In the previous home game against Werder Bremen, Arminia had to accept a goal shortly after half-time and then lost the game.

«Of course we have to get out of half-time and be present immediately.

Everything else doesn't work there, ”said Kramer.

"We urgently need to improve."

Basically, however, he praised his team, although it hardly sparked any danger on the offensive against the strong RB defense and never shot the guest goal.

The commitment and tactical discipline were right, said Kramer.

With the few closing opportunities that exist against a top team like Leipzig, Arminia has to improve.

There is room for improvement after winning the ball.

"Not everyone has the ability to immediately have the first impulse to move forward, then to play it out precisely."

This should be worked on in training.

Arminia midfielder Arne Maier was not completely dissatisfied after the narrow defeat.

"Every player tried to give everything," said the U21 international.

"We look to the future and have the next game in mind."

After the international break, Bielefeld has an extremely important task ahead of him.

The next game is against the cellar neighbor FSV Mainz 05. "Of course we want to get the three points," assured Maier.
