Since last fall, whenever the Turkish leaders have raised the idea of a rapprochement with Egypt, the authorities in Cairo have always responded with caution and by formulating a demand: that Ankara abandon its positions deemed hostile to Egypt. with regard to Egyptian power.
In the official speech, this has already been the case for several months.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who regularly called his counterpart
Abdel Fatah al-Sisi
a "
coup leader
", now refrains from criticizing him in public.
Egyptian opposition media based in the country have therefore received the same instruction.
The opponent Ayman Nour, head of the El-Sharq television launched in Istanbul in 2014, thus confirmed having recently had an "
interview
" with Turkish officials, who would have asked him to "

" with regard to power. Egyptian.

Without confirming these warnings, Yasin Aktay, an adviser to Recep Tayyip Erdogan, denied that Turkey was considering deporting or delivering to Cairo journalists or Egyptian opponents who took refuge in its territory.
