Göppingen (dpa / lsw) - The Göppingen software provider Teamviewer is the shirt sponsor of the English football club Manchester United.
The partnership was concluded for the next five years, said a spokesman on Friday in Göppingen.
"With this agreement and other strategic marketing partnerships, Teamviewer is investing significantly in its global brand positioning," said a press release.
In this way, sales growth should be sustainably strengthened in all regions and customer segments.
At the same time, the software company had to backtrack on its profit target due to the high costs of the sponsorship deal.
Due to the significantly increasing marketing expenditure, an adjusted profit margin before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda margin) of 49 to 51 percent of invoices is expected in 2021, according to the company.
So far, Teamviewer had promised up to 57 percent.
The investors of the MDax group reacted sniffed in view of the high costs, the share price recently fell by almost eight percent.

Teamviewer is best known for software solutions for remote access to computers and had a turnover of around 390 million euros in the 2019 financial year.
The profit was 104 million euros.
