They were arrested after trying to escape control in 2019 in Fay-de-Bretagne (Loire-Atlantique).

Two men were sentenced to terms of two and four years in prison on Thursday in Nantes for drug trafficking, reports the

Ouest-France

newspaper

.

These two forties were in particular suspected of having got rid of a 3.5 kg bag of heroin, thrown into a ditch and then found again, while they were pursued by customs officials between Nantes and Rennes.

They thus received a customs fine of 105,000 euros, a sum equivalent to the value of the goods seized.

Originally from Morbihan for one and Nantes for the other, the two men have always contested the ownership of this bag, even if other narcotics had been found.

One of them led a lifestyle "incompatible with his income", punctuated by "trips, sports betting for very large sums, purchase of works of art", specifies the newspaper

Ouest-France.
