  The 36th regular meeting of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorism Agency Council was held in Tashkent on the same day.

The competent authorities of the eight member states of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India and Pakistan, as well as delegations from the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorism Agency attended the meeting.

  The parties studied the regional security situation, discussed the current situation of the SCO’s cooperation in combating terrorism, separatism and extremism, exchanged views on the cooperation of the competent authorities of the SCO member states in this field, and determined the response to international terrorism. Security threats and challenges.

  The meeting approved the "Report on the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Regional Anti-terrorist Agency Council Reporting to the Council of Heads of State on the Work of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Agency in 2020", and reviewed the "Regarding the SCO Member States’ Combat Terrorism, Separatism and Extremism in 2019 Implementation of the 2020 Cooperation Outline to 2021.

  The meeting endorsed the draft of the "Outline for Cooperation between the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Combating Terrorism, Separatism and Extremism from 2022 to 2024."

The meeting positively evaluated the work carried out by the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorism Agency Executive Committee in the past year.

  The meeting decided that the next meeting of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorism Agency Council will be held in Uzbekistan in September this year.

  The Shanghai Cooperation Organization was established in June 2001, and its permanent organization has a secretariat and a regional anti-terrorist organization.

The secretariat is located in Beijing, the capital of China, and the regional anti-terrorist agency is located in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
