Gummersbach / Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - In the Oberbergischer Kreis, both primary and secondary schools are back to distance learning from Monday until the Easter holidays.

Only the final classes of secondary schools are excluded, the district announced on Friday.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that it has approved an application by the district to suspend alternating classes, which currently also provides for the students to be present in schools, with the restriction for the final classes.

According to the district, in which the incidence is well above the 100 mark, the corona cases in daycare centers and schools have increased significantly.

A total of 44 daycare centers and schools are affected.

According to the Oberbergischer Kreis, the daycare centers will go into emergency operation from Monday.

The Ministry of Health in Düsseldorf initially only confirmed the measures at the schools in the district.
