Hamburg (dpa) - Supervisory Board Chairman Marcell Jansen (35) does not expect sports director Jonas Boldt (39) to leave Hamburger SV in the summer as a possible successor to Fredi Bobic, should this Eintracht Frankfurt leave before the end of the contract.

"I feel with Jonas every day the desire to develop HSV," said ex-professional Jansen of "Bild" (Friday).

Boldt's new contract with the second division soccer club Hamburger SV is valid until the end of June 2023.

"We maintain a trusting and reliable cooperation," emphasized Jansen.

According to "Bild", Boldt should not have an exit clause in his working paper, and Eintracht should not have had any contact with the HSV sports board.

In addition to Boldt, former world champion Bastian Schweinsteiger was recently traded as a candidate for a Bobic successor.
