Los Angeles (AP) - In the USA, the 20th and final season of the legendary reality series “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” started with the usual pinch of drama in the chaotic celebrity family.

The first episode was broadcast on Thursday evening (local time) on the entertainment channel "E!"

broadcast.

Among other things, it was about a possible artificial insemination of Khloé Kardashian and a love back and forth between sister Kourtney and her ex Scott Disick.

The show expires with the 20th season.

The first reactions were mixed: The Internet portal "Daily Beast" was upset about the hypocrisy of family members about the restrictions during the Corona crisis.

"It should come as no surprise that the Thursday night episode is littered with inappropriate comments about the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on their lives, all the more hypocritical given the Kardashians' well-documented disregard for safety protocols over the past year."

The Kardashians have been in front of the camera for the series since 2007 - in the past 14 years, the chaotic family around superstar Kim Kardashian has become famous and filthy rich.

Father Robert started in the spotlight in the mid-90s because he was on the defense team in the murder trial of ex-professional footballer OJ Simpson.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian opened a fashion store with her sisters Kourtney and Khloé in the early 2000s after appearing on the real-life show “The Simple Life” with “It-Girl” Paris Hilton.

In 2007 a sex tape of her and her boyfriend at the time surfaced.

But it didn't hurt the Kardashians.

The attention also from a lawsuit brought by Kim helped the family land on the television industry's radar.

“Keeping Up with the Kardashians” became a television attraction.

Everyone involved became stars while they were filmed bathing in pools, having their pictures taken for Playboy, buying luxury cars or hitting each other with handbags.

Aside from superficiality, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" also documented the gender reassignment of Bruce Jenner, mother Kris' second husband, to Caitlyn.
