Hamm (dpa / lnw) - While fleeing from the police, a 37-year-old driver got stuck in a field.
The man had damaged two parked cars in Hamm.
When the owner of the car threatened to call the police, the 37-year-old drove away, said a police spokesman on Friday.
Initially, the fugitive was followed by an attentive citizen on Thursday evening, it said.
After the arrival of the patrol car, the 37-year-old tried to continue his escape across a field.
The chase ended there and the fugitive was arrested.
According to the police, the driver was under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
He had to hand in his driver's license.
