Berlin (dpa / bb) - Because he is said to have sold around ten kilograms of marijuana, a 36-year-old has to answer before the Berlin district court.

The man is charged with 17 cases.

The buyer was a suspected drug dealer who was prosecuted separately.

At the beginning of the trial on Friday, the defense attorney announced that his client would presumably comment on the allegations on the second day of the hearing on March 30, “largely confessing”.

The illegal business is said to have occurred between January 2018 and September 2019.

The 36-year-old received a total of more than 55,000 euros, according to the indictment.

During a search of his home, police officers seized various narcotics - including 755 grams of an amphetamine mixture and 400 grams of hashish.

The accused was arrested in December 2020 and has been in custody since then.

According to a police officer, a suspected buyer of the defendant was arrested in May 2019.

The man is said to have testified extensively.

For the trial of illicit drug trafficking against the 36-year-old, five more days are scheduled until April 30th.
