Offenbach (dpa / lhe) - A 15-year-old rower collided with a large cargo ship on the Main and partially got under its hull.
She was lucky, her self-inflating life collar brought her back to the surface, said a spokesman for the water police.
The young athlete had been in a group on Thursday afternoon, she was pulled into the coach boat by other rowers.
The 15-year-old was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
According to the waterway police, it was a large motor ship of the 100-meter class.
The course of the accident was initially unclear, the police are looking for witnesses to the incident.
