The second line Bernard Le Roux has been recalled in the group of 31 players who will prepare for the matches of the XV of France against Wales and then Scotland, announced Thursday the French Rugby Federation.

The Racing 92 player (31 years old, 46 selections) replaces Cyril Cazeaux (Bordeaux-Bègles, 2 selections), forfeit according to the FFR, without giving more details.

Le Roux suffered a muscle injury in training last week and had missed the defeat in England.

Coach Fabien Galthié explained earlier in the day that Cazeaux was "injured in training on Tuesday".

He was digitally replaced by Toulon's Swan Rebbadj in the group of 23 called up for Saturday's game against the Welsh.

The Blues indeed face the XV du Leek at the Stade de France during the fifth and final day of the 2021 Six Nations Tournament. Wales can win the Grand Slam if it wins in France.

Galthié's men can still hope to win, provided they beat the Welsh and then Scotland, in a late match which should be played on March 26.
