Schwerin (dpa / mv) - According to Health Minister Harry Glawe (CDU), the vaccination against Covid-19 should pick up speed in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the coming weeks.

In the second quarter (April to June) the country expects around 1.4 million vaccine doses from the various manufacturers, Glawe said after a cabinet meeting on Thursday evening.

That is five times what was delivered in the first quarter.

According to this, 764,000 vaccine doses from the manufacturer Biontech, 122,000 from Moderna, 321,000 from Astrazeneca and 191,000 doses from the American manufacturer Johnson & Johnson have been announced.
