Los Angeles (AP) - The golf superstar Tiger Woods has left the hospital after his serious car accident and is back home in Florida.

The 45-year-old announced this in a message on his Twitter channel on Tuesday.

"I'll take a rest at home and work to get stronger every day," Woods wrote.

He also thanked us for all the good wishes and messages, as well as the care provided by the medical staff.

Woods was seriously but not fatally injured in the accident in February and had to undergo an operation.

He had lost control of his car in a suburb of Los Angeles and rolled over several times.

His management then reported multiple fractures in his right leg.

Whether and when the 15-time major winner will make a comeback on the golf course is open.
