Chinanews.com, Kuala Lumpur, March 17 (Reporter Chen Yue) The Malaysia-China Business Council and the Malaysian Education Global Services Department signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation on the 16th to promote more Chinese students to study in Malaysia.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia told Zhang Qingxin, the special envoy to China and chairman of the Malaysia-China Business Council, that Malaysia still has great potential in attracting Chinese students.

  In Zhang Qingxin's view, Malaysian higher education courses are cost-effective and rich in content, especially the multicultural characteristics of Malaysia, which I believe will become a major factor in attracting Chinese students.

At present, there are about 15,000 Chinese students studying in Malaysia every year. I believe there will be more room for growth in the future.

  Zhang Qingxin also met with the Minister of Higher Education Nolany on the 16th and suggested that Malaysia should develop more active and close cooperation with relevant Chinese educational institutions, including the implementation of student exchange programs and industry-university cooperation with China. Malaysian educational institutions should also consider Establish sister school relations with more Chinese universities and establish branch schools in two places.

  The memorandum of understanding was signed by Maud Razlan, CEO of Malaysia Education Global Services Department, and Li Taikang, CEO of Malaysia-China Business Council.
