Dresden (AP) - Dynamo Dresden remains unbeaten in the eighth game in a row.

The table leader of the 3rd football league defeated SV Wehen Wiesbaden in a catch-up game 1-0 (1-0) on Wednesday evening and increased his lead on the relegation rank.

The Elbestädter now have 58 points, four points ahead of the third Ingolstadt.

Pascal Sohm (12th minute) scored the only goal of the evening in a game in which Dynamo left no doubts about their 18th win of the season, at least at the beginning.

The team of coach Markus Kauczinski attacked Wiesbaden early on with a lot of running effort and deservedly took the lead through Sohm.

The striker scored his fifth goal of the season with a diving header.

Only after almost 25 minutes did the guests react a little better, but ultimately remained harmless.

At this point in time, Rüdiger Rehm's team could have been 2-0 down.

Sohm (21st) aimed too centrally with his header.

For a long time, the second round went without any highlights because the home side withdrew too far and Wiesbaden could not think of anything against the best defense in the league.

Only Gustaf Nilsson (63rd) was able to test Dresden goalkeeper Kevin Broll once.

In the end it stayed with the well-deserved Dresden victory.
