Hamburg (dpa / lno) - Hamburger SV can continue its preparations for the home game in the 2nd Bundesliga against 1. FC Heidenheim even after the Corona case involving Simon Terodde.

While Terodde is in quarantine, the players and the entire team of coaches and supervisors underwent rapid tests again on Wednesday.

These were all negative, as the HSV confirmed on request.

More rapid tests on Thursday are very likely, before the mandatory PCR test is due on Friday.

The home game should take place on Saturday (1 p.m.) as planned.

After the failure of top scorer Terodde (33), Daniel Thioune has to rebuild his attack line.

As an alternative for the 20-time goal scorer of the season, HSV coach Bobby Wood and Manuel Wintzheimer are in the squad.

The 28-year-old US striker Wood (1 goal of the season) ended his goal doldrums at the end of February in Würzburg, while the six years younger Wintzheimer (2) last prepared a goal in Bochum.

Michael Mutzel believes that the Hamburg Teroddes can absorb failure.

"We have a broad squad and I am sure that we will then provide a good replacement, who then maybe also make a box," said the HSV sports director.

Since international matches will take place in the coming week, Terodde will probably be available again for the Hanseatic League after the isolation ordered by the health department (until March 29) in the game on April 4 at Hannover 96.

Thioune (46), on the other hand, has a luxury problem in the back line.

Since captain Tim Leibold has served his two-game suspension, the 27-year-old is returning to his regular position on the left side of the four-man defensive chain.

Youngster Josha Vagnoman, who had replaced him twice on the post, should be back on the right against Heidenheim, so that Jan Gyamerah threatens the bench.
