• Control session. Government and opposition engage in a battle of accusations of "corruption", "treason" and "transfuguismo"

Ugly episode in Congress.

One more and this time starring from the bench on the right against the spokesperson for Más País, Íñigo Errejón.

An unfortunate setback that in the end has been remedied from a good number of seats, PP included, with a long applause for the snubbed deputy.

Errejón has surprised the Chamber by ignoring the topic of the day, the candidacy of Pablo Iglesias to compete for Madrid and the rejection of Errejón's own force to go with him by the hand to the electoral appointment, and has preferred to put his finger in the The sore of a growing problem sown by the pandemic: the deterioration of the mental health of a good number of Spaniards.

The spokesperson for Más País recalled that an average of 10 suicides per day is recorded in Spain and although he has admitted that this issue is not at the top of the present day, he has stressed that it is of the "utmost importance."

Errejón has demanded a mental health plan from the President of the Government and has wondered why everyone present in the Hemicycle knows well the name of all the drugs related to anxiety and depression and not those used against other types of diseases .

While Errejón raised his question, some laughter has been heard on the side of the PP.

He has pointed out that, according to the CIS, six out of ten Spaniards already have symptoms of anxiety or depression and seven out of ten young people are absolutely hopeless.

When he had finished his speech, a voice was raised among the popular: "Go to the doctor!"

The reaction of the Socialists, accompanied by some popular ones, has been immediate.

A round of applause in support of the spokesperson of Más País and in rejection of the outburst, more typical of a hooligan than a deputy, of the PP's honor.

The popular deputy, Mario Garcés, one of those who has expressed support for Errejón with his applause, has described the comment of his comrade as "unacceptable".

Íñigo Errejón's question has prompted the President of the Government to announce a review of the national mental health strategy to enhance the care of people who need care in this field and reproach the popular for their lack of empathy with the problems of the Spanish people.
