According to Doguzova, the resumption of international tourist flows will allow launching an electronic visa mechanism for foreigners visiting Russia.

“Last year our president made a historic, I would say, decision on an electronic visa.
It should have been working since January 1, 2021, if it weren't for the coronavirus, whether it was wrong, ”Doguzova said at the opening ceremony of the 27th MITT International Tourism Exhibition.
She added that currently the primary goal is the development of domestic tourism in Russia, but improving the tourism infrastructure in the country could attract foreign tourists.
The head of the department believes that in the second half of 2021, a gradual recovery of international travel is possible, which will help increase the turnover of the tourism industry.
