Bremen (dpa / lni) - A drunk employee of a car dealership set fire to several cars in Bremen with a cigarette.

As the police announced on Tuesday, the 47-year-old was cleaning a car when his cigarette fell unnoticed on the driver's side.

After the initial investigation, the man moved away from the car, and a little later the car caught fire.

Witnesses noticed the fire and tried to put it out, but the flames spread to three other cars.

Two cars burned out completely, and an office container was damaged.

A breath alcohol test on the 47-year-old showed a value of 2.5 per mille.

The police arrested the man temporarily and are investigating him for negligent arson.

In addition, there is a suspicion that he is staying illegally in Germany.
