Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - The AfD parliamentary group in the Hessian state parliament wants to take legal action against the Corona special fund.
The parliamentary group's spokesman for budget policy, Erich Heidkamp, announced, according to a statement on Tuesday, that he wanted to submit an application to review the constitutionality of the law at the Hessian State Court of Justice.
"Hesse operates unconstitutional state financing with the special fund contrary to the debt brakes," explained Heidkamp.
In addition, budget discipline is being disregarded.
This step had been considered for a long time, explained a spokesman for the AfD parliamentary group.
But they wanted to continue to monitor the country's corona policy.
Now the time has come for a lawsuit.
With the votes of the CDU and the Greens, the state parliament passed the special fund of twelve billion euros in the summer.
It is intended to mitigate the consequences of the corona crisis.
The parliamentary groups of the SPD and FDP had already filed a complaint against this with the State Court in November.
