Ludwigsburg (dpa / lsw) - While walking during a storm, a 43-year-old woman in Ludwigsburg was hit by a falling tree and seriously injured.
A police spokesman reported on Monday that the approximately 15-meter-high tree buried the woman under her on the dirt road.
The fire brigade had to free the woman from under the tree on Saturday with the help of chainsaws.
She was then taken to a hospital.
A 36-year-old who had accompanied the woman suffered minor injuries.
The tree originally stood about five meters away from the dirt road.
He was completely uprooted by the strong wind of the storm "Luis".
