Neubrandenburg (dpa / mv) - After a swimmer lost an arm in a boat accident in Lake Tollensesee, the boat driver has to answer in court today (1 p.m.).
According to the district court of Neubrandenburg, the 63-year-old is accused of negligent bodily harm.
At the end of June last year, he is said to have caught the 48-year-old swimmer with his propeller, although according to the results of the investigation at the time, he carried a light floating buoy as a marker.
The man lost his left arm as a result of the accident.
According to the court, initially only one day of the trial was scheduled for the main hearing.
A verdict is therefore likely.
