Hanover (dpa / lno) - Lower Saxony's Prime Minister Stephan Weil is delighted to have ended the quarantine after a corona infection in the State Chancellery.

He worked 12 to 14 hours a day, followed countless video conferences on the iPad.

"My wife has seen me little," said the SPD politician on Monday in the NDR program "DAS!".

He had previously suspected that the home office would be a good addition, but not the great promise.

That has been confirmed for him.

"I was happy that it was over," emphasized Weil.

Now he has real life again.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, decision-makers have been subjected to “permanent high pressure”, he confessed.

"You don't always get over that well."

But above all he wants to live up to his responsibility.

In his private life, the 62-year-old misses attending soccer games, having a beer with friends and visiting restaurants with his wife.
