Erfurt (dpa / th) - Thuringia is not planning any short-term changes to its corona regulation, which has been in force since Sunday, despite the further increase in the number of infections.

"We are still more in lockdown mode than other federal states," said a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health on Monday when asked in Erfurt.

In view of the renewed increase in the number of infections, the federal government had urged the states to comply with the agreed emergency brake.

The federal and state governments had decided that the lockdown rules would come back into force if the incidence in a state or region rises to over 100 on three consecutive days.

In Thuringia, the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days has been over 100 for weeks;

on Monday the value increased again to 168. Nationwide, the incidence was 83.

Since Monday, bookshops and libraries as well as nail and massage studios, foot care and other body-friendly service providers have been able to reopen with conditions.

The retail trade is still closed with the exception of goods for everyday use - only hardware stores can offer appointment shopping.

The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health pointed out that the districts have a tiered regulation which areas must be closed above an incidence of 200.

The ministry is in talks with the Greiz district, the nationwide corona hotspot with an incidence of currently 493.

It is expected that the district, like other hotspots, will receive a special quota of vaccination doses.

This would be discussed with the federal government.

Thuringia had to stop the allocation of vaccination appointments at the weekend because, according to the ministry, the quantities of vaccine to be delivered in April are currently still open.

"We cannot plan at the moment," said the ministry spokeswoman.

This means that it is still unclear when doctors' practices can be involved in vaccination in April.

According to the federal government, there will be a federal-state conference call on the subject of vaccination this Wednesday, including the involvement of general practitioners in vaccination.
